Les financements ouverts
Pour financer votre projet de recherche, Université Côte d'Azur lance deux campagnes de financement, dont la date limite est fixée au 24 avril 2026.
1. Les thèses sur contrat établissement
Les étudiants en Master 2 affiliés à l'Ecole Universitaire de Recherche - SPECTRUM - spécialisée en sciences fondamentales et ingénierie ont la possibilité de financer leur thèse par le biais d'un contrat établissement.La sélection s'effectue par l'École Doctorale en Sciences Fondamentales et Appliquées (SFA), sur dossier et au mérite, et les candidats retenus bénéficient d'un contrat de thèse avec Université Côte d'Azur.
Pour constituer leur dossier de candidature, les postulants doivent choisir un sujet de thèse proposé par un Directeur de Thèse accrédité à l'ED SFA.

- 24 Avril 2026 : date limite de candidature pour l'attribution des contrats doctoraux.
- 22 Mai 2026 : notification de convocation à l'audition.
- 15 Juin 2026 : notification des résultats aux candidats.
2. Les cofinancements de contrats de thèse de SPECTRUM
Pour soutenir des projets de recherche de haut niveau, l'Ecole Universitaire de Recherche - SPECTRUM - spécialisée en sciences fondamentales et ingénierie à Université Côte d’Azur, propose des cofinancements de contrats de thèse. L'Ecole cofinance donc six demi-contrats de thèse de trois ans chacun dans les domaines suivants :
- Mathématiques
- Physique
- Astrophysique
- Sciences de la Terre
- Chimie
- Ingénierie
Les contrats doctoraux co-financés par l'Ecole, nécessite de disposer d'un cofinancement à hauteur minimal de 50% (72 k€ minimum).
Le cofinancement devra obligatoirement être reversé vers Université Côte d’Azur (UniCA) via une convention de reversement ou la convention de recherche préalablement établie et signée un mois avant la prise de fonction du ou de la doctorante embauché.

- 24 avril 2026 (12h) : date limite de réception des dossiers (identique à celle du concours aux contrats doctoraux ministériels d’Université Côte d'Azur).
- 3 juin 2026 : notification des résultats.
- 10 juin 2026 : Acceptation du contrat doctoral.
- 1er décembre 2026 : prise de fonction (au plus tard).

Vous avez également l'opportunité de financer votre projet de recherche au sein de notre établissement via d’autres types de financements disponibles (ANR, Idex, etc.) en choisissant parmi une liste de propositions de sujets de thèses recensées par l'École Doctorale Sciences Fondamentales et Appliquée (ED SFA).Les conventions industrielles de formation par la recherche (CIFRE)
Les conventions CIFRE permettent d'associer un doctorant, une entreprise et un laboratoire dans le cadre d'un projet de recherche.
Elles offrent ainsi la possibilité de conjuguer recherche académique et expérience professionnelle au sein d'une entreprise.
Pour y accéder, il suffit d'être :
- titulaire d'un diplôme de niveau master ou d'être en cours d'obtention de celui-ci,
- s'inscrire en doctorat, sans considération de nationalité.
Une fois l'entreprise et le laboratoire universitaire partenaires identifiés, les demandes doivent être soumises sur le site de l’Agence Nationale de la Recherche et de la Technologie (l'ANRT).
Le doctorant mène son programme de recherche et développement en entreprise. Il bénéficie d'un contrat de travail en CDI ou en CDD avec un salaire annuel brut minimum tout en étant inscrit auprès de l’Ecole Doctorale en Sciences Fondamentales et Appliquées (ED SFA), habilitée à lui délivrer le titre de docteur.

Theses funded by institutional contractsSelection is made by the Doctoral School in Fundamental and Applied Sciences (SFA), based on file and merit, and successful candidates benefit from a thesis contract with Université Côte d'Azur To prepare their application file, applicants must choose a thesis topic proposed by a Thesis Director accredited to the ED.SFA (HDR member).
Calendar
- April 24, 2026: Application deadline for doctoral contract awards.
- May 22, 2026: Notification of shortlisted candidates and interviews days.
- June 15 2026: notification of results.
SPECTRUM's co-financing of thesis contractsTo support excellent research projects, SPECTRUM, the Graduate School of Fundamental Sciences and Engineering at Université Côte d'Azur, offers co-financing for thesis contracts.The Graduate School co-finances six half-thesis contracts, each lasting three years.
In addition, a doctoral contract focused on quantum technologies is also offered as part of the QuanTeDuFrance project, a specialized training program supported by the School and funded nationally to meet the needs of research and industry in France in the field of quantum technologies.
Doctoral contracts co-financed by the School require a minimum co-financing of 50% (€72,000 minimum). This co-financing must be transferred to Université Côte d’Azur (UniCA) via a transfer agreement or the research agreement, which must be established and signed one month before the doctoral candidate begins their position.

- April 24, 2026 (12 p.m.): deadline for receipt of applications (same as that of the competition for ministerial doctoral contracts at Université Côte d'Azur.
- June 3, 2026: notification of results.
- June 10, 2026: Acceptance of the doctoral contract.

Other funding optionsYou also have the opportunity to finance your research project within our institution via other types of funding available (ANR, Idex, etc.) by choosing from a list of thesis topic proposals listed by the Doctoral School of Fundamental and Applied Sciences (ED SFA).
Thesis topics Industrial training through research agreements (CIFRE)
CIFRE agreements allow a doctoral student, a company and a laboratory to be associated within the framework of a research project. They thus offer the possibility of combining academic research and professional experience within a company.
To access them, you simply need to be:
- a holder of a master's degree or be in the process of obtaining one,
- registered for a doctorate, regardless of nationality.
Once the partner company and university laboratory have been identified, applications must be submitted on the website of the National Agency for Research and Technology (ANRT).
The doctoral student conducts his or her research and development program in a company. He or she benefits from a permanent or fixed-term employment contract with a minimum gross annual salary while being registered with the Doctoral School in Fundamental and Applied Sciences, which is authorized to award him or her the title of doctor.
